Managing Director - Sound Engineer
Hugh Jones has over 35 years of experience as a live sound engineer and production manager, designing, specifying and operating systems for all styles of music, theatre and corporate events. He has toured the UK, Europe and the rest of the world many times.
Iain Firth
Technical & Hire Manager - Sound Engineer
Iain has been involved in recording and live audio since his early teens. He has been with HPSS for nearly 20 years and enjoys his work today as much as he did on day one. Iain manages many of the main client accounts, and his attention to detail and engineering ability make him a great asset to the company.
Graham Roberts
Project Manager - Lighting Engineer
Graham has been lighting shows since the age of 15. He started out lighting theatre shows and expanded into corporate and rock and roll. Graham has worked with many mainstream artists.
Bart WEDOLOWSKI
Operations Manager - Lighting & Sound Engineer
Bart is responsible for event logistics and execution. He's passionate about sound and lighting and has more than two decades of experience in various roles across the industry. Bart’s dedication and strong work ethic make him stand out from the crowd.
Dave Mitchell
Assistant Project Manager - Sound Engineer
Dave has been involved in sound since his school days and joined HPSS after spending a decade at an indie record label and studio. He brings a wealth of live recording experience and excels working on the technical details of events.
Katy Furze
Assistant Project Manager - Administrator
As an artist herself, Katy has a thorough understanding of the events industry both locally and nationally. Katy’s experience and organisation help her to excel in her day-to-day administrative and project management work.
Matty Stephenson
Junior Project Manager - Lighting Engineer
Matty joined HPSS in 2022 after working as a freelancer on tours and a range of other events.
Oliver Gibson
Warehouse Technician - Lighting Engineer
Charlie Abba
Warehouse Technician - Sound Engineer
Charlie started at HPSS as an apprentice in 2018 and achieved a distinction in his Live Event Technician apprenticeship. He has developed into a valuable member of the HPSS team and has worked on a variety of events including Chillfest, Deer Shed and Trinity Live as a patch tech and sound engineer.
Having grown up playing music in bands from a young age, Oliver has long been involved in the live events industry. His main passion is lighting, and Oliver is quickly developing his knowledge and experience in the industry. After achieving a distinction in his Live Event Technician apprenticeship he is now regularly touring across the country, working in a wide range of venues and settings.
Alan Morton
Stages and Structures
Alan has been working with HPSS for many years, and joined full time in 2022. His role includes building staging and assisting with rigging.
Simon Mavity
Driver
Simon has been with HPSS since 2014, providing transport for a range of events, from standalone gigs to festivals and national tours. When he’s not driving, Simon also plays the saxophone in a local Ska band.
Ted Tuthill-Jones
Administrator
Ted has worked for HPSS on a casual basis for many years, and joined full-time in 2022.
REECE HARPER
Live Event Technician Apprentice
Reece studied I.T. at Wilberforce College before graduating from Hull University with a first in music production. He has been producing music since the age of 16 and is a multi-instrumentalist who has played in various Hull bands.
Adrian has had a love for lighting since his childhood, after secondary school he completed a Btec Level 3 year in Production Arts. Adrian then attended HPSS for his work experience and has since never left. He’s now pursuing a Live Event Technician apprenticeship and is determined to eventually specialise as a lighting engineer.
Since starting Adrian has shown great attitude and is rapidly developing his knowledge and skills.
